Antigravity CLI 1.2.1 rejects Gemini in Canada on macOS and Ubuntu: unsupported location

I use the official Antigravity CLI with my personal Google AI Pro subscription.
Google Terms of Service, viewed while signed into that account, shows country
version Canada. Canada’s inclusion in the supported region list is documented at
FAQ | Google Antigravity Docs . Please investigate which upstream region or
account eligibility check rejects these requests; I do not know the root cause.

The CLI is 1.2.1, matching the official updater manifest checked September 11.

Reproduction:

  • Official CLI, native Google sign-in; no copied tokens, API keys or endpoint override.
  • Ubuntu VPS and Apple Silicon macOS.
  • Gemini 3.8 Flash High/high and Medium/medium on the VPS, High/high on Mac.
  • Prompt asks only for a fixed acknowledgement, with no research content.
  • Both normal VPS networking and the same server restricted to IPv4 fail.
    Independent Cloudflare trace requests report CA for both IPv4 and IPv6;
this does not prove Google’s own IP classification.
  • A plain High CLI test without a custom agent or JSON schema also fails.
  • Earlier today, Linux Medium MP4 inspection and Mac High saved-report answering
succeeded. These historical successes are preserved; current reproduction fails.
  • No country setting, account identity, VPN/proxy route or billing was changed.

The initial diagnostic setup used a boolean enum that the provider rejected as
INVALID_ARGUMENT; that was corrected before the comparisons above. Those two
setup failures are excluded here and preserved separately. No repeated background
retry is active. Please advise the supported remediation or investigate the
account/request eligibility results. The current exact cause is unconfirmed.

Hi @Lucas3,

Welcome to the Forum,

This error typically arises when the backend gateway’s geolocation check fails to validate either the account’s country of association or the network egress IP address.

  • Verify your region on the Google Terms of Service page. If incorrect or blank, request an update via the Country Association Form.

  • If your account already shows Canada, ensure you are not behind a VPN/proxy or running on a cloud VPS with an unclassified datacenter IP range.
