Antigravity 2.5.5 – OAuth succeeds but loadCodeAssist returns "account not eligible"

I am unable to sign in to Antigravity IDE 2.5.5.

The error shown by the IDE is:

There was an unexpected issue setting up your account.
Your account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals at this time.

Environment

  • OS: Windows 11

  • Antigravity IDE: 2.5.5

  • VS Code OSS: 1.107.0

  • Commit: ecfbad74d93962fc8ca485d93ab9b4f3d4cb6cf8

  • Electron: 39.2.3

  • Node.js: 22.21.1

  • Language Server CL: 963923152

Important account/machine comparison

The same Google account:

  • Works successfully with Antigravity on another laptop.

  • Google AI Studio works successfully on this Windows PC.

  • A different Google account can sign in to Antigravity successfully on this Windows PC.

Therefore this does not appear to be a general network or installation failure.

OAuth behavior

The browser OAuth flow completes successfully and displays:

Google Antigravity — You have successfully authenticated. You should be redirected back to the product.

Immediately afterward, Antigravity performs:

POST v1internal:loadCodeAssist

and the request fails with:

Your account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals at this time

Trace IDs

I have reproduced the failure multiple times:

  • fee6f3b63d7edba4

  • ea810de6bc0e20d5

  • 8c9feb0fdfcdc7c

  • a515c75152695b3c

  • a714cbd760edcf90

The latest request:

2026-09-28 18:48:40.879 [CloudCode] POST v1internal:loadCodeAssist traceId: a714cbd760edcf90

followed by:

2026-09-28 18:48:44.079 [error] Failed to make POST request: Your account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals at this time

Additional testing

I have already tried:

  • Clearing Antigravity cache/state

  • Removing the Windows gemini:antigravity credential

  • Fresh OAuth authentication

  • Creating the .gemini\antigravity-ide directory

  • Antigravity IDE 2.5.5

  • Standalone Antigravity 2.0

  • Repeated sign-out/sign-in attempts

The standalone version also produces the same eligibility failure.

Verification investigation

I searched the Antigravity logs for:

  • VALIDATION_REQUIRED

  • validation_url

  • Verify your account

  • signin/continue

No verification URL or validation challenge was found.

Language Server behavior

The failing machine also reports repeated:

state syncing error: key not found

and:

Failed to get OAuth token: error getting token source from auth provider: state syncing error: key not found

The working laptop, however, proceeds through:

loadCodeAssist

then:

onboardUser

then:

fetchAvailableModels

The failing machine stops at loadCodeAssist.

Request

Could someone please check the backend entitlement/provisioning state for this Google account and the loadCodeAssist requests above?

Specifically, could you verify whether:

  1. The account is correctly provisioned for Antigravity/Gemini Code Assist.

  2. A Cloud Code project/tier is being issued by loadCodeAssist.

  3. The account is incorrectly being rejected by the Gemini Code Assist eligibility check.

  4. The state syncing error: key not found is preventing the entitlement/onboarding state from being applied.

OAuth authentication itself succeeds, and the same account works on another laptop, so I am primarily looking for a backend entitlement/onboarding diagnosis rather than another OAuth reset.

Hi @Amit_Dabade, Welcome to the Forum!

To help troubleshoot, could you please attempt to authenticate using either the latest Antigravity 2.0 client or the Antigravity CLI? Kindly confirm if you are able to log in successfully with this account.
