but how are you gonna stop limited quota??
the usage limit system in 1.23.2 is even worse than in 2.0.
I just ran into a huge bug where cancelling a prompt early still burns through your limits. I accidentally opened the wrong folder and ran a prompt on gemini 3.1 pro high. I cancelled the task after 16 seconds.
Even though I cancelled it right away, it still tanked my weekly Pro limit by about 40% It’s like the system charges you for the entire full response the exact second you hit enter, instead of actually stopping the count when you hit cancel.
And now, I have to wait another 6 days just to get my usage limits back.
How did you install version 1.23.2 without it auto updating to new 2.0.1??? I’ve tried twice now, but always it updates. Don’t get the chance to even turn off auto-update.
as a 100% vibe coder with 0% technical skill, even me feels the new update is stupid.
Don’t any of you actually pay attention?
If you want the editor then install Antigravity IDE.
Seriously, its finally turning into an engineering tool instead of vibe coding crap, and folks are to lazy to ready the giant message saying to grab the IDE version if that’s what you want.
Get Antigravity IDE if that’s what you want… why would you entertain this nonsense about trying to downgrade?
disable internet before you open it
I did try the IDE version first. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but there was no difference in what opened for me. IDE was same as the new shit version..
Dam! That’s a great idea!
Having said that. Before I deployed the update in my then existing version of Antigravity, all my sidebar extension panel items (e.g. Docker, Github, etc.) were all flagged with notice that they would not work in current version of Antigravity. ![]()
So not sure that getting the 1.23.1 version would even function if I got it going.
GOT IT ALL BACK!!! reverted to v1.23.2
thank you ALL so much! I had a heart attack reading this as i upgraded (automatically) to the new one…WTH it’s insanity kill 2.0
just FYI I got all my conversations and chat history back with Claude, Codex and Google agent:
- Uninstalled the 2.0 via windows uninstaller (add or remove programs)
- Downloaded and reinstalled v1.23.2
- Disabled the auto updates (see above by @DannyDevito do a find on “BONUS”)
- Added Marketplace back (see above by @ThE_LeGenD_KinG do a find on “marketplace”) also image here Marketplace for VS code to be used in Antigravity · GitHub for newbies
- I think it has all my prev settings etc in the prev install folder for my Windows User? so everything came back exactly as before, all my extenstions etc all in the same place and prev conversations
that was my exact order in case it helps someone else - thank you ALL for helping i had a heart attack almost literally for 20mins thinking I lost it all.
Omg! it’s terrible, literally seconds after updating I’m here
time to do a rollback.
none!.. google don’t care your data…
Made this account just to comment here: what an insane downgrade. Should have been a new product for a different audience.
Thanks for the rollback guide
thamk you so so much for this. Was much needed
Actually its not that great idea… You can install “Antigravity IDE”(almost same with Antigravity 1.x) instead of “Antigravity 2”
You can still install “Antigravity IDE”(almost same with Antigravity 1.x but with 2.x version) instead of “Antigravity 2”. It’s on the bottom of the download page.
Havent seen such a … product by Google in recent years, more conversation means more token usage.
So they basically now have both the ADE (new Agentic v2.0) and the older IDE rebranded now. You just need to scroll down more on the download page. You’ll see CLI, SDK, & IDE. Antigravity IDE will remain to receive new updates and will not be thrown away!
Wish I seen this sooner, I wasn’t fast enough on disabling theatuo-updates
