Another Antigravity 2 thread... No venting, honest question

Boy, am I glad I switched off the auto update a while back!

So help me out - is this 2.0 app just a coat of paint and the old Agent Manager is now called Antigravity and the old Antigravity is now called Antigravity IDE and we get a few bells and whistles but overall nothing really changed …

OR

are those two environments now completely separate now? Can my IDE agent still ‘see’ everything that is happening in 2.0 sessions (chat history, artifacts, etc.) or is the session data physically stored now in different places and there is no native integration?

And if it’s the latter, question for people who are considering jumping the ship - what alternatives make most sense right now? I just managed to get Antigravity to work the way I need it to, but most of my workflow is managed through markdown artifacts so the transition should be relatively simple, I just can’t make up my mind what other platform would make most sense right now.

TBF, I don’t completely hate the sub-agentic philosophy introduced in 2.0 but if I have agent routines I need to have the option and ability to create and manage the architecture, not take the breaks and braces off and go completely yolo. So I guess I’m looking for a ‘all or nothing’ replacement option.

Honestly, for users who don’t use VS Code, Antigravity IDE is practically useless. But the current version of Antigravity 2 is just too difficult to use.
