AI Studio Preview and shared app URL stuck on “Rate exceeded” (HTTP 429)

Hi AI Studio team,

My app’s embedded Preview and shared app URL have been inaccessible since this afternoon. They show a blank page with the plain-text message “Rate exceeded.” Opening the app URL directly shows the same result, or redirects repeatedly through /__cookie_check.html.

App details

  • Region: asia-southeast1

  • App stack: Full-stack Express and Vite React, using port 3000

What I observed

  1. The embedded Preview is blank and displays “Rate exceeded.”
  2. Opening the development or shared app URL directly shows the same message or encounters a /__cookie_check.html redirect loop.
  3. The response includes server: Google Frontend. This suggests the error may be generated before the request reaches my app container, though I cannot confirm where the throttling occurs.

Checks performed

  • From inside the container, curl -I http://localhost:3000/ returns HTTP 200.
  • curl -I http://localhost:3000/index.tsx returns HTTP 200 with a JavaScript content type.
  • The app build completes without compilation errors.
  • I restarted the development server, stopped refreshing the Preview for over 5–10 minutes, cleared browser storage and cookies, tested another browser profile, and allowed third-party cookies. The issue persists on both URLs.

Could you investigate whether a Preview or hosting-side rate limit is stuck for this app, and advise how to restore access? If possible, please confirm whether the 429 response is coming from AI Studio’s Preview infrastructure, Cloud Run ingress, or another layer.
