Since a couple of days ago I am facing the same issue described in this post:
I am posting again on this issue because the proposed workaround is not working for me.
I can not submit a prompt to the chat via ctrl + enter (or just enter on its own) to manually run the prompt.
The only thing that works in that regard is to edit the last prompt that was processed and change is to a new prompt. This prompt can then be run manually. But this edited prompt and response is not saved in the chat and disappears when refreshing the website.
Thank you for your patience while we looked into this issue. We’ve rolled out a fix and you should now be able to continue submitting prompts even in longer sessions.
This behavior points to a UI regression in AI Studio affecting older chat sessions. Since new chats work normally, the issue is likely related to how historical sessions are being loaded and processed in the frontend. For now, the most reliable workaround is to export any needed content from old chats and continue in a new session. I recommend using the ”Send Feedback” option in AI Studio (bottom left of the interface) to report the issue, including the affected chat IDs, browser type, and console error logs from DevTools.
