# AI Studio fails to republish existing app to Cloud Run – Precondition check failed

Hello,

I am experiencing a persistent issue when trying to republish an existing application created with Google AI Studio.

ERROR SHOWN IN AI STUDIO:

“Failed to update Cloud Run service: precondition check failed.”

The application was successfully published before and the currently deployed version is still working normally. However, every attempt to republish/update the application now fails at the end of the publishing process.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

Google Cloud Project ID:  
mercurial-athlete-hxjsq

Cloud Run service:  
montfuse-gest-o-completa-i-processos-v1

Region:  
us-west1

WHAT I HAVE ALREADY VERIFIED:

- The existing Cloud Run service is healthy.
- The currently deployed revision is working normally.
- There is only one revision listed in Cloud Run.
- The current revision receives 100% of the traffic.
- Requests to the current revision are returning HTTP 200.
- There are no ERROR-level runtime logs for the current Cloud Run revision.
- Failed republishing attempts do not appear to create a new Cloud Run revision.
- I searched Cloud Logging for Cloud Run UpdateService operations related to this service and found no results.
- Therefore, the failure appears to happen before a new Cloud Run revision is successfully created.

There is also another issue occurring inside Google AI Studio.

The AI Studio agent repeatedly returns:

“Encountered retryable error from model provider: Agent execution terminated due to error.”

The agent has also timed out while trying to perform build/diagnostic operations.

The application itself continues to work, but I cannot publish any new changes.

I would appreciate help investigating whether there is an issue with the AI Studio publishing pipeline for this application.
