Account restricted to AQ. tokens, requesting AIza key restoration

My account can currently only generate API keys with the AQ. prefix, and these return 401 Unauthorized on generativelanguage.googleapis.com. The quota on all my projects appears to be 0, so I cannot use the Gemini API at all.

I’d like to request restoration of standard AIza-format API key generation for my account.

  • I understand this restriction may have been applied automatically. I’ll keep any future keys private (server-side only).

We are moving away from Traffic keys (Alza) and towards a more secure Authentication Key (AQ). AI Studio will now only generate Authentication Key (AQ) keys. More information on key usage can be found in the Using Gemini API keys documentation.
