Account Disabled (403 ToS) After Unknowingly Using OpenClaw — New Subscriber Seeking Account Restoration

Summary

My Gemini Code Assist / Antigravity access was disabled with a 403 Terms of Service violation error. I am a paying annual subscriber (since January 6, 2026) and was unknowingly using a third-party tool (OpenClaw) that connects via Antigravity OAuth. I had no idea this violated the ToS.

Error Message

Cloud Code Assist API error (403): Verify your account to continue.

What Happened

As a new subscriber (less than 2 months), I was exploring developer tools to improve my workflow. I discovered OpenClaw through online tutorials and genuinely believed it was a legitimate integration. My usage was entirely personal and non-commercial — just trying to optimize my development workflow as a software engineer. No malicious intent, no abuse.

Actions Already Taken

  1. Completely removed all OpenClaw configurations and Antigravity auth profiles
  2. Revoked all related OAuth connections
  3. Stopped using any third-party tools to access Gemini Code Assist
  4. Emailed gemini: with a formal appeal

My Request

I am seeking account restoration. I fully understand the ToS now and commit to only using official Google-approved interfaces going forward.

As a paying annual subscriber who has barely used the service, I would appreciate the chance to continue using Gemini Code Assist properly.

Questions

  1. What is the typical timeline for appeal review?
  2. Is there any additional escalation channel available?
  3. Has anyone else in this situation successfully had their account restored?

Any guidance from the community or Google team would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @Wei-Lun_Chiu ,

We have heard your feedback regarding recent bans linked to third-party tool usage. We are currently rolling out a system-wide automated unban for all affected accounts. We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance the Antigravity experience.” #terms
