# 429 RESOURCE\_EXHAUSTED "prepayment credits are depleted" — prepay balance reads R$0.00 despite funded billing account

My Gemini API project returns HTTP 429 `RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED` (“Your prepayment credits are depleted”) on **every** request, even though I have a funded billing account.

- **Billing account ID:** 0155C2-BA1358-18E9..

- **Project ID:** gen-lang-client-06128501.. (BOT EnvixAGV - Boletos)

- **Region/currency:** Brazil (BRL)

On **May 12, 2026** I made a manual prepayment of **R$ 40.00** (Mastercard ••6039, ref. CLOUD 3K5QXM). My actual usage this period is only a few cents (~R$ 0.44). The Cloud Billing transactions page still shows this credit (balance −R$ 39.56 in the “Postpay: Google Cloud services” tab), but the **AI Studio → Gemini API Billing page shows a prepay credit balance of R$ 0.00** and “no transactions”. The balance was visible there before and disappeared.

I already tried **unlinking and re-linking** the billing account to the project — no effect. The API key authenticates fine (models.list works); only paid generation fails with 429.

This appears to be the same prepay sync/migration issue several other users have reported this week. Please re-sync / restore my prepay balance. I can provide the invoice and bank proof of the R$ 40 payment on request.
