20 days after unban appeal, and still no response. Gemini Code Assist still Disabled

I sent an appeal on April 8th. Since then, I’ve sent many appeals. Still nothing. No response, no rejection, no unban. Nothing.

I’ve spoken with a Google employee (Google One). Not very helpful. They could only point me in the direction of this forum.

I’ve sent an email to gemini-code-assist-user-feedback@google.com, but I get no response.

I’ve been waiting 20 days for a response that they said would be given within 72 hours. Soon 3 weeks, and Google has been silent as the grave.

Seems like nobody from Google actually visits this discussion forum, so we are all wasting our time here.

In the meantime, I’ve purchased a Claude Pro subscription, which I’m very happy with, and the longer it takes for Google to reactivate my Pro account, the more likely I am to make a permanent transition to other models.

And any day now I might decide to cancel my Google subscription, cause this is getting ridiculous. I’ll give it a maximum of one additional week.

Baffling, and very disrespectful, to not have any support team that paying customers can reach.

Google One just pointed me in this direction, which is the equivalent of going deep into the forest and shouting, hoping that someone will hear me. Cause many have the same issue, but Google employees are nowhere to be seen

Hopefully, Google gets a grip soon. I’ve been a Google fan for almost 30 years. Even read a Google book once, which I still have. I will be forced to revisit my stance on Google, the Do no evil company, if Google cannot show that they care more about paying customers than they have shown so far.

There is hope. Today, May 2nd, after 24 days, I noticed the ban has been lifted. After much suffering since April 8th.

Did I get any email telling me that I’ve been unbanned? No.

Any explanation why it took more than 72 hours? No.

In any case, my “Gemini Code Assist in Google One AI Pro” is now active again
